Yuva’s talent as a writer is simply undeniable. He is generous and accessible. Overall, I found the book extremely fascinating and it has earned a place among my favourites.

Once more, the author produces a book that all should read. My one criticism concerns his comments on Brexit, which are misguided and seemingly ignorant of the motives of Brexiteers whose main objection is to a non-organic construct, not to foreigners.

I'm a great fan Yuval Noah Harari, having read both Sapiens and Homo Deus. This book borrows from both of those and expands on some of the themes in more detail. I love his use of language which just flows and is so easy to digest. His insights into the causes and effects of some of the big issues facing humanity are inspiring. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Just read it!!!

It is common in non-fiction to assert opinion as fact with too much confidence and not draw the reader to the key difference between science and faith - doubt. This was an issue with Sapiens but in this work, it is taken to an absurd level to the point that it is just a work of predictive fiction dressed in science. The book asserts a thesis, repeated to the point of being patronising, that the world is destined to be run by cyborgs controlled by an elite class of biologically superior masters while the rest of humanity will become an unemployable bunch of useless wasters. This thesis is backed by 'scientific' justification. If it was presented in a story with characters playing out their lives it works as a novel, but as a piece of non-fiction it is nonsense. The fact the 'thesis' is credible is not the problem, it is that it is speculation dr... wonderfully accessible writing for concepts which might feel massive and overwhelming at the same time - i find i am not able to put it down at night even when my eyes are closing - it is rational, unbiased and very informed summary of the state of humankind on this planet at this present time and this is something we all need to get our heads around

A superbly uplifting and enlightening book that cuts through the dystopian mire of narrative creation. This book debunks the whole gamut of story telling from organised religion to the efficacy of social media as a tool for individually created mythologies of the self. At the same time he is able to clearly communicate the dangers of algorithmic dictat in which we are all enmeshed; from film recommendations on Netflix to biometric surveillance through our wrist watches! A must read for anyone interested in what its all about and where its all going? You might be surprised at the answers.

Good read with really interesting insights. Very thought provoking in parts. Will probably return to it to reread parts after I have had time to let it sink in.
